Compare the Dimensions

Verify that two sets of units are consistent, that is, their dimensions match. Units must have matching dimensions if they are to be added, subtracted, or equated. Ex: 100 inches^2 and 3.2 acres have consistent units

Get the Dimensions

Examine the metric (SI) dimensions of units: length, mass, time, temperature, electric-current, amount-of-substance, and luminous-intensity. Although they are not official metric (SI) dimensions, this tool also reports plane-angle and solid-angle dimensions for clarity. Ex: 150 Calories/hour has dimensions of length^2 × mass × time^-3

Convert to Base Metric Units

Convert a single unit or a mathematical expression with units to the base metric (SI) units: meter, kilogram, second, kelvin, ampere, mole, and candela. Although they are not official base metric (SI) units, this tool also reports radians and steradians for clarity. Ex: 150 Calories/hour = 174.45 meter^2 kilograms / second^3
